Why should you pay for a customized weather forecast for your radio station, agriculture or marine interests when so much weather information seems to be available for free?
The majority of the weather information found on the Internet, comes directly from various National Weather Service offices. This information is hurriedly assembled and re-packaged in fancy and slick graphical software and then disseminated through intermediary sources such as The Weather Channel, CNN, Excite, Yahoo, AOL etc., entities that do not do any true "local forecasting" of their own.
We in the weather profession get a partially deserved bad rap for this inaccurate forecasting, but it doesn't have to be that way. It takes attention to detail, knowledge of the laws of physics, thermodynamics, local and regional climatology, computerized forecasting models, and how to interpret and apply the model guidance, identifying temperature and moisture and its trajectory, etc. Though weather forecasting is deeply rooted in modern science, in a sense it is an art form.
We at Continental Weather Corporation offer 40 years of professional experience and can provide customized local forecasting at a reasonable price.
